What’s the function of MPO loopback
MPO loopback is mainly used for fiber loopback testing, where signals are sent from a communication device and returned to the device to check whether the device is working well. They are often used to check whether a fiber optic transceiver is functioning properly as designed. There are two ports for transeiver, one is sending signals and another one is receiving signals. MPO loopback provide a quick and efficient way to test the transmission capability and receiving sensitivity of optical network equipment and locate various potential anomalies. MPO loopbacks with different core counts have different polarity channel alignment configurations. For example, an 8cores MPO loopback is usually aligned at both ends of the connector, leaving the 4 channels in the middle empty. MPO loopbacks are suitable for 40/100G network communications, and can locate various potential phenomena through return signals, thereby achieving effective testing and evaluation of individual components or interfaces and networks on paired optical networks.
With the development of the data center, the requirement for MPO loopback is increasing, For all OMC fiber products, we pride ourselves on our commitment to innovation and quality.
