Polarity of 24C MPO&MTP trunk cables

Base-24 Polarity Solution
To catch up with the increased demand for higher bandwidth, 24-fiber MTP/MPO cable is introduced to facilitate migration to 100G network. It doubles the density of 12-fiber cabling in the same footprint, which reduces the fiber count, allows for fewer cable pathway, and improving airflow. The polarity maintenance of base-24 MTP/MPO cabling, however, is more complicated. OMC recommends the Type A (key-up to key-down) MTP/MPO trunk cable. With our Type A and Type AF cassette, no need for A-to-A patch cable any more. The connectivity method is illustrated in the following picture

Benefits of Armored Fiber Patch Cable
Common fiber optic cables can be fragile and require extra protection, especially in harsh applications where cables may be at risk from rodents, constant wear and tear, or environmental damage. Armored fiber patch cables, such as the 24F MTP trunk cable, provide the same high-quality performance as standard fiber optic cables but with the added strength of extra layers of armor. With its flexible and durable steel tube protection, the armored MTP trunk cable ensures the excellent operation and longevity of your network, even in challenging conditions.
- Anti-Trample
The rugged armor of armored fiber patch cables provides superior protection against physical impacts and crushing forces, preventing damage even in areas with heavy foot traffic or equipment.
- Saving Space
Despite its robust build, the armored MTP trunk cable is designed to save space. This ensures that a large number of fibers can be installed without compromising space within the data centers or communication rooms.
- Wide Applications
Fiber trunk cables with armor are suitable for use in different environments, both at work and outside, especially in situations where there is excessive dust, moisture, and exposure to chemicals.
- High Tensile Strength
Armored fiber patch cables have high tensile strength, which makes the installation process easy without the worry of breaking the fiber during the installation process.
- Rodent-Resistant
Armored fiber cables are also useful because they are able to protect the fibers from damage by rodents, especially where there is exposure to mice and rats that might interfere with the network infrastructure.

Application Scenarios
MPO/MTP Patch cable/trunk cable is a high-density fiber optic assembly widely used in the following applications:
- Data Center Applications (High-Density Environment)
The 24F MTP trunk cable is intended for high-density environment data centers and can support direct connections of 40G QSFP+ SR4, 40G QSFP+ CSR4, and 100G QSFP28 SR4. The cable is also protected by an armoring feature to ensure its reliability and durability.
- Fiber to the Building (FTTB)
Fiber trunk cables, such as the 24F MTP trunk cable, are a reliable and secure solution for FTTB applications. The cable offers protection, especially when installed outdoors and underground, as the possibility of damage from the environment is higher.
- Internal Connector Applications in Fiber Equipment
MTP/MPO patch cables are commonly used for internal connections within fiber optic equipment, providing flexible, high-density solutions for efficient and reliable data transfer between devices.

Environmental Applications
MPO/MTP Patch cable/trunk cable is designed for harsh installation conditions that require exceptional durability. It is commonly used for interconnections or cross-connections in environments that demand reliable fiber optic networks. The 24F MTP armored trunk cable and fiber trunk cables provide the necessary protection and flexibility for installations in challenging environments like ceilings, floors, and corridors.
- Ceiling Application
Armored MTP trunk cables are ideal for ceiling applications as they provide maximum protection for the fiber cables from accidental damage.
- Data Center Application
MTP trunk cables are essential for use in the data center. This is mainly because the cables provide maximum performance even under harsh conditions.
- Floor Application
Fiber cables are designed for floor installations where there is frequent foot traffic or heavy equipment. The robust construction ensures protection against physical damage in such environments.
- Corridor Application
In corridors, armored MTP patch cables offer durability and flexibility, making them ideal for spaces with limited room or exposure to various environmental factors.

Packaging
This easily taken and well-protected fiber patch cable package has been labelled and marked by OMC as default .Standard carton size : 34*22*15 cm; 44*34*24 cm ; 54*39*34 cm . Which carton to be used depends on goods Qty . Packing can be customized.

FAQ
- What is the difference between the 24F SM Armored MTP trunk cable and regular MTP cables?
The major difference between the two cables is the addition of a protective armor feature on the 24F SM armored MTP trunk cable. The armor feature makes this cable more durable compared to the MTP cable. The feature protects the cable from damage by moisture and rodents.
- Is the 24F MTP armored trunk cable suitable for high-density data center installations?
Yes, the 24F SM Armored MTP trunk cable is specifically designed for high-density environments like data centers. Its 24-fiber configuration and armored protection make it perfect for maintaining reliable and efficient connections in spaces where bandwidth and durability are critical.
- Can this cable be used for outdoor applications?
Absolutely! The 24F MTP trunk cable is built to withstand outdoor conditions, including exposure to moisture, dust, and physical impacts. Its armored design ensures long-lasting protection, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor installations.
- What is the significance of the 3.5mm diameter in the 24F MTP armored trunk cable?
The 5mmdiameter refers to the overall size of the cable, including its protective armor. This design allows for flexibility in installation while maintaining the strength needed to resist external damage. It ensures that the cable can be routed easily in tight spaces without compromising on protection or performance.
